Andrew Rannells Chats Rocking Out in Hedwig on Broadway...and in Germany?!

Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb put on some makeup, turned up the eight-track and (presumably) pulled the wine down from the shelf to chat with current Hedwig and the Angry Inch headliner Andrew Rannells on The Today Show. The stage and screen star explained that despite the glitter, costumes and hair, the show’s message manages to keep him grounded: “It looks crazy…but the story is very simple and really sweet." Gifford asked Rannells about the time he played Hedwig in Germany, which admittedly, is close enough to where he actually played the role previously: Austin, Texas.
